RESUMEN
La temática del género en la Constitución y la legislación de Kuwait es el tema central de
este artículo. El texto desarrolla aspectos como la identidad sexual, el tratamiento de la
mujer en la Constitución de 1962, la temática de la herencia, las calidades para ser
miembro de la Asamblea Nacional o para ser ministro, entre otros caso. Se cita
específicamente algunos casos para ejemplificar las dificultades a las que se ha visto
sometido el sistema judicial, especialmente en los casos de cambio de sexo.

ABSTRACT
The issue of gender in the Kuwaiti Constitution and legislation is the central theme of this
article. The text elaborates on aspects such as sexual identity, the treatment of women in
the 1962 Constitution, the issue of inheritance, qualities to be a member of the National
Assembly or to be a minister, among others. A number of cases are specifically cited to
exemplify the difficulties faced by the judicial system, especially in cases of gender
change.
