Abstract
This article analyzes the legal and policy aspects
related to HIV/AIDS in Ukraine from bioethical,
medical, and legal perspectives. The objective of
this study is to examine the adequacy of existing
policies and legal provisions to address socially
hazardous diseases such as HIV/AIDS in the
country. The methodology employed includes a
review of existing literature and legal documents
related to HIV/AIDS. The findings suggest that
although Ukraine has made significant progress
in tackling HIV/AIDS, there are still significant
gaps in the legal and policy framework regarding
the disease. These gaps include a lack of
comprehensive legislation and policies,
inadequate funding for the prevention and
treatment of HIV/AIDS, and stigma and

